I am five generations from William. My line to William goes back from my father Edwin Davis (born 1898), William Davis (born 1851), Abraham Davis (born 1817) and then William.
I was born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia where my father worked at the paper mill for 33 years. We moved to Lunenburg in 1963 when my father retired. In 1969 I joined the Canadian Forces as a vehicle mechanic and spent most of my 23 years either in Lahr, West Germany or Gagetown, New Brunswick.
In 1992 General Motors hired me away from the military life to work for them in Saudi Arabia for two years training and as a field service representative. From here it was several months with a British company (GKN) in England and then into Oman for five months. In 1997 my wife (Mary) and I moved to London, Ontario to work for General Motors again and then for General Dynamics. Been here since then.
